Synopsis

A robbery cum murder occurs at a mansion in Tokyo. Before long, it is determined that two men were responsible for the crime from security cameras near the scene. Because one of the men named Yamada has a criminal record, he is soon arrested. While Yamada admits to the robbery, he denies the murder. He says in his statement that it was committed by his accomplice, Ishii Hisakazu (Oshinari Shugo). Detective Yuzuki Teppei (Koizumi Kotaro) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s First Investigative Division searches for him. Hearing information that Ishii had sometimes mentioned wanting to meet his former girlfriend, Yuzuki starts to keep Yokogawa Sawako (Wakamura Mayumi) under surveillance for a week even though the other detectives pay no attention to this. However, Sawako appears happily married to Yokogawa Sentaro (Shiomi Sansei), who runs an electrical appliance store in Matsumoto City in Nagano prefecture, and three days pass without any movement.
