Synopsis

In a rural town 15 years ago, an elementary school girl called Emily (Kimura Hazuki) was taken away by a man and murdered. Emily’s four elementary school chums (Omata Erika, Kimura Manatsu, Kikuchi Asumi), who had been playing with her right up until the incident, were the first to discover her. The murderer was never found and the case went unsolved. Emily’s mother, Adachi Asako (Koizumi Kyoko), had chided them for forgetting the face of the man they had seen. “Find the murderer. If you do not, make amends to my liking,” she had hurled those furious words at them. The four grew up into adults, each embarking on their own path while living in fear of the incident and shock at Asako’s remark.
